Winter Carnival 2012

The Skowhegan Parks & Recreation Department will host our annual Winter Carnival on Sunday, February 5 from 12:30-2:30 pm. All events will be held inside and outside at the Skowhegan Community Center. Events include children's games, face painting, snowshoeing, pie eating contest and more. Fun for the whole family. Minimal fees apply to some activities. If you are interested in being a vendor call 474-6901 prior to January 20. Vendor space is limited.

Keeping Hearts Warm Comedy Show and Fundraiser

As we deal with mid-winter blues and cabin fever, a sense of humor is crucial to our sense of community. So we invite you to spend an evening with friends and two comedians from the Boston comedy scene, Ben Hague and Ray Harrington. Please be advised the comedy will be PG-13. Tickets are $30 for Individuals and $50 for Couples. All proceeds from ticket sales and a 50/50 raffle at the event will benefit the Keeping Mid-Maine Warm Program and The Waterville Area Warming Center.
