Conservation Committee

Town of Skowhegan Conservation Commission's Statement of Purpose and Direction

The Skowhegan Conservation Commission’s mission is to conserve, restore and improve Skowhegan’s natural environment for present and future generations, because healthy communities and social interactions best occur within a natural environment. The Conservation Commission will strive to accomplish its mission in three ways. First, by researching and inventorying Skowhegan’s important natural resources. Second, by encouraging the interaction of various groups and individuals whose interests include conservation and the promotion of community. Third, by actively participating in the planning process.

Meeting Schedule

The Conservation Commission meets the first Tuesday of each month. This is a public meeting and citizens are welcome to attend and participate. If you are interested in environmental conservation issues please join in.

Event Location

The Conservation Committee meets at 5:00pm in the Council Room of the Municipal Building at 225 Water Street.
