Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Office issues Occupancy Permits for new and renovated
structures in Town, it also issues plumbing permits and shoreland zone
permits. The Code Enforcement Officer enforces all Town adopted land use
ordinances. The Code Enforcement Office and Fire Department work together
to inspect existing apartment buildings and businesses for life safety
issues. If a property owner is planning a building project near the water,
they should call the Code Enforcement Officer before any construction
work begins.
