We are eager to get the park open this season and we are organizing to beautify the park, grounds, and buildings at Lake George Regional Park for the 2019 season. This is a annual event geared towards giving back to your favorite local swimming, sun bathing, hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, horseback riding and mountain biking location! Join the park board members, staff, intern rangers, your friends, and neighbors for a good-old fashioned "work-party weekend." We'll work alongside you to eliminate debris, put a fresh coat of stain on the signage, clear the brush, fallen trees and winter trash.
Bring gloves, rakes, leaf blowers, weedwackers, paint brushes, or any other favorite tool. Check in with a volunteer coordinator at the West Side gate.
Message us if you have a tractor, wood chipper, chainsaw, or other large equipment to lend or that you are willing to operate.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to map your woodland? Maybe you want to create a map to help you plan a timber harvest, manage for wildlife or recreation, determine acreage or simply because it’s fun! Then this workshop is for you!
We will spend the evening exploring many free and low-cost mapping applications that are available to everyone. Through real world examples and demonstrations, you will learn the steps and options available to collect field data and prepare maps for your woodland. We will look at internet-based applications, as well as mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.
Your instructors will be Adam Cates and Patty Cormier, both District Foresters for the Maine Forest Service. This workshop is co-sponsored by Upper Kennebec Chapter - Maine Woodland Owners and Somerset County Soil & Water Conservation District.
To sign up, email Jennifer or phone/text 207-679-7306.

Meet me under the big disco ball in the tent and let's let Cyclone Link Skywalker Jr, Super Fly, Spanish Fly, and Vinny “Boom-Boom” Funktonia transform us to another era where it was all about who ruled the dance floor. The four out-of this-world jive-talkin’ funkateers of Motor Booty Affair, bring their 70’s extravaganza of groove, style and attitude to Madison for an outstanding night of fun and frivolity. Afros, bell bottoms and platform shoes…wear them…if you dare! Dance to the hits of The Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Commodores and many, many more of your favorites!
