    Windjammer Days! Bus departs at 9:00 am Returns approximately 6:30 pm (We will leave after the parade that is scheduled to start @ 4:00) We will be traveling to scenic Boothbay Harbor where you can participate in the Windjammer Days events, go shopping, stop in one of the many eateries, visit the Botanical Gardens or the Maine State Aquarium or just take in the beauty of the harbor. You won’t want to wait to register for this trip as it is sure to fill up fast. Space is limited.

  1. KVCAP's 4th Annual Golf Tournament & Silent Auction

    June 22, 2018, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. @ Lakewood Golf Course

    Spring is in the air, and we are gearing up for our 4th Annual Golf Tournament & Silent Auction, at Lakewood Golf Course, on Friday, June 22nd. All proceeds support the Kennebec & Somerset Explorer public bus system, and will be matched dollar for dollar by federal funding! The cost is $125 per player/$500 for a team of four, and includes green fees and carts, mulligans and strings, gift bags, prizes, a buffet lunch and awards ceremony, and the chance to play the Hickory Challenge Hole! Meet a special guest dressed as Francis Ouimet, who famously won the US Open in 1913. Play a par 3 hole, using replica hickory-shafted clubs identical to the model Ouimet used! You will also receive a hand-made replica of the ball that Ouimet used to win in the 1913 event.

  23. Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day!

    The Town of Skowhegan, Somerset Woods Trustees, the Somerset Trails Committee, and the Central Maine New England Mountain Bike Association have teamed up for a great morning of mountain biking. Bring your own bike and helmet or borrow (ages 10-adult) them from the town. Bikes will be on site to borrow. Tours of the trails will be lead by experienced bikers.
